Super randonnée entre le pico do Ariero et Pico Ruevo. Notre guide Julia etait extra. Julia nous a raconté l histoire de Madère et de son irrigation . Les paysages sont supers. Quelques passages difficiles, mais rien n insurmontable. A faire absolument. Le voyage ce fait en navette,on nous récupère et nous ramène. Merci au chauffeur aussi. Pünktliche Abholung, schneller Transfer und sympathisches Team. Wir hatten die Anfängertour gebucht und dafür für geboten bekommen. Wer also mit Neulingen oder Kindern Canyoning ausprobieren möchte ist hier richtig. Auch an schweren Stelle. hatten die Guides immer einen Plan b falls es doch mach zu schwer oder Angstbehaftet war. Das Gruppenklima war mega, vielen Dank für dieses tolle Erlebnis. ~ Quinn E

Très bonne expérience. La levada de 25 fontes est superbe et nous avons très bien été guidée par Nestor. Le guide était soucieux de notre sécurité et bien être. Nous avons également pu emprunter pour le retour un chemin très peu touristique. Encore merci a Nestor et également au chauffeur. Attention : le guide ne parle pas français, la visite se fait en anglais ~ Joana T

Ein durch und durch empfehlenswerter Wandertag in den luftigen Höhen Madeiras. Die Führerin war sehr professionell und erklärte uns am Wegesrand die verschiedenen Pflanzen. Auch das mit dem Abholen klappte reibungslos. Mit 6 Stunden auf und ab ist aber diese Wanderung nicht für jedermann. Viele kamen wirklich an die Grenzen ihrer Fähigkeiten. ~ Martin v

We had a great time with our guide Jorge. Initially we were supposed to do the Ariero to Pico hike but due to the weather conditions, couldn't proceed with it because it was too unsafe with the rain, wind and mist. So just be prepared : Madeira's a beautiful island for nature lovers but there are 22 micro-climates, so you can't just go wherever whenever... sometimes you have to adapt. Nevermind, Jorge took us to another hike instead around the seacliff from Machico to Porto da Cruz called Vereda do Larana and we had a beautiful time. He was very knowledgeable about Madeira's plants and animals and has a great sense of humor as well. We recommend it/him a 100% ! ~ Nikita G

Très belle expérience avec deux enfants et deux personnes agées, Julia notre guide à tout fait pour que tout ce passe bien, très grande professionnel qui connait très bien l'histoire de l'Île, toute la famille vous remercie pour cette belle journée. Wir haben die Tour vom Pico Aveeiro zum Pico Ruvio gebucht. Es hat alles wunderbar geklappt. Der Transport war pünktlich und unser Guide Johny hat sehr viel Interessantes zu erzählen gewusst. Er war sehr emphatisch und hatte für alle Personen in unsrer heterogenen Gruppe gleich viel Aufmerksamkeit. Er war sehr hilfsbereit. Gerne wieder. Dass es auf den Pico und dieser spektakulären Route viele Menschen hat, haben wir nicht anders erwartet. ~ P M

Une très belle journée passée dans la forêt de Rabaçal et les 25 cascades grâce à notre guide Dias qui était gentil et très intéressant. Nous avons apprécié que la prise en charge et le retour de l'activité se soit fait à notre hébergement à Santa Cruz. Nous avons adoré notre excursion et n'avons que du positif à dire ! ~ Camille P

5 Stars – Active, social, and full of great memories I did the Pico Arieiro to Pico Ruivo hike with Nature Meetings on 3 April 2025, and it was a splendid experience. Our guide, Nestor, was super approachable and knowledgeable—he shared loads of interesting info about Madeira’s plants, wildlife, and culture, along with great tips for food, drinks (including where to find real Poncha), and nightlife in Funchal. The weather was a bit unpredictable that day, so the route had to be slightly adjusted—but it was still an active hike, we got in some proper climbing, and took some decent photos along the way. The group was also a highlight—a fun and friendly mix of people, which made it a perfect chance to socialise while hiking. That part alone was 5/5. Highly recommend Nature Meetings if you want more than just a walk—you get nature, stories, laughs, and a proper sense of connection to the island. ~ Karol M

Esperienza indimenticabile. Philippe ha rappresentato una guida impeccabile e sicura: pronto a farci sorridere con una battuta, esperto, rassicurante e disponibile. Inoltre ci ha svelato molti retroscena circa la storia di Madeira e del cammino da Pico do Areiro a Pico Ruivo. Consiglio assolutamente l'esperienza con una guida. Paesaggi mozzafiato, mai visto nulla del genere nella vita. Camminata abbastanza faticosa, con molte salite e discese. Ma alla fine ne vale la pena ~ Gianluca C

Randonnée Pico do Areeiro au Pico Ruivo. Très professionnel, ponctualité au rdv, confort pendant le transport et amabilité du guide qui parle e explique tout en plusieurs langues (PT, EN, FR, IT). Très sympa et la randonnée s’est super bien déroulée. Vivement conseillé! ~ Arthur D

Wir hatte die Tour vom Pico do Arieiro zum Pico Rivu gebucht. Der Transfer hat gut geklappt, mit dem Guide waren wir ebenfalls zufrieden. Es hatte zuvor 2 Tage geregnet, sodass es sich auf dem Weg stellenweise arg gestaut hat. Auch das hat der Guide gut gehandelt. ~ Siegfried S

We really enjoyed the Pico Ariero to Pico Ruivo hike. Our guide Milka was really nice, patient and knowledgeable. He clearly described how difficult the hike was and we had a chance to go a different way if we felt we couldn’t make it. There’s no turning back on this hike! One gentleman had difficulty and he stayed at the back with him, but gave us clear directions, so that we could go on to the peak. It was absolutely amazing but not for anyone who doesn’t have a decent level of fitness. The sights are astounding. The pace was good. We knew exactly what to expect thanks to our guide. ~ N H

We did Pico Areiro to Pico Ruivo with Nature Meetings guide. It was great trip. Well organized. Peace was adjusted to every member of group. We went in small group of 11 people. Guide told as lot of facts about plants, peaks and Madeira itself. This hike is excellent. Spectacular views all the way. Hike is of moderate difficulty. If you do few mountain hikes per year you should be ok. We did hike in excellent weather. Can be much more difficult in bad weather. Be prepared for cold, windy and even rainy weather. ~ Tomáš F

Un super guide avec de bonnes explications et de la bonne humeur. De magnifiques paysages et cascades à observer pour une randonnée de 3h30 environ avec une courte pause pour pique niquer au pied des 25 fontaines. Très bonne journée, je recommande. ~ Sophie R

Très belle randonnée le long de la Levada pour atteindre le chaudron vert. Bruno, notre guide, nous a fait découvrir la nature de la forêt primaire tout en veillant avec beaucoup d’attention à notre sécurité. Bienveillance et bonne humeur au rendez-vous ! ~ Vincent R

En fantastisk vandretur, der indimellem var krævende, gav trætte ben😊. Guiden var fantastisk til at fortælle om området. Det kunne være ønskeligt med lidt flere pauser, så man kunne nå at få taget fotos ~ Kirsten N

Bruno looked after our mixed ability party of 4 (along with another 8 participants) admirably. Not once did we feel pressurised to keep up with the main group and he patiently encouraged us along some of the steeper sections of the walk. He was knowledgable, friendly, and funny - we had a great time and would encourage anyone who might be thinking they can't do it to give it a go, the views were outstanding and we thoroughly enjoyed. ~ Geraint J

Did the Pico Aerero to Pico Ruivo climb in Madeira with this company. They were excellent. Our tour guide Jonny looked after us a group really well throughout the climb making sure everyone was safe and providing us with information about the surrounding landscape and fauna at various viewpoints throughout. It was an incredibly hot day but worth it. We were picked up and bought back to our accommodation and as a group enjoyed the climb ~ Emma S

Really well organised day trip. The got in touch with us a few days earlier to confirm pick up point. They arrived on time and the driver gave us some explanation of the island. The group was not too big, 19 people, and Daría, our guide, was great, kept us at a good pace and ensure we had some breaks and water. The views all along are breathing and one of the best things to do in the island. ~ Cristina m

Hello! We choose this trip as a last resort for thickig off the list Pico to Pico hike. We had no idea what to expect but in overall it was great: Pros: - pick up from the hotel or a spot 5 min away from it walking (drop off is the same) - guide, at least ours, was fantastic, very open, gave us some insight on when and why pathways were build, (we had Margarita) - views are beautiful - if you are a beginner and heard that this is challenging, you may want to try it anyway; challenging part for me was only the last 1.5 km which are steps most of the time, but nothing more, due to the traffic at this time of the day (roughly 11.30am), you will stop and rest every now and than for 2-5 mins; I'm 120kg doing mostly heavy weights and a little cardio and I made it, my girlfriend is not exercising at all and made it; it was worth every step we took; Cons: - the car ride can make you dizzy, they are on the clock and the driver takes no hostages 😂 - the traffic can be annoying, we didn't mind it though - long queue to the loo below Pico Ruivo's summit. - no a/c in the bus, I was boiling. 5stars because pros heavily outweigh cons in my opinion. ~ Pawel M

I booked the tour from Pico Arieiro to Pico Ruivo. The hike was spectacular. It was challenging for someone who doesn’t hike often but a must-do while in Madeira. As a solo traveller it was great to be with a group and have the van pick up because it’s not a loop walk. Our guide Nadia was brilliant, she was informative and encouraged us to go at our own pace. ~ Olivia B
